In this quick tutorial, we will see how to mirror a part in Solidworks.

with SolidWorks, you can use the mirror feature to mirror faces, features, and bodies in parts. And you can mirror parts in an assembly.

We have this simple shape, we will try to mirror it instead of doing the same work on the other half.

In features search for mirror, select the face that will be the reference plane.

From the design tree select the features that you want to duplicate.

Finally, you will have the desired body completely mirrored.

If you choose to mirror the entire body, you will have two options below: either to merge solids or not which means make it as one solid body or two solid bodies.

The knit surfaces option is used when you are mirroring a surface so that the two surfaces will be connected without any gaps.
